Muds had left a strange message in his journal. Candy? What was that all about? Still, if he said he'd be there, Stu had better go see if he is. And as much trouble as it is to get out of the house without getting caught, if Muds isn't there, Stu is going to be very cross ( Read more... )

When luring little boys away form Mommy and Daddy, one brings candy. He learned this from an after school special in grade school and instantly started planning a kidnapping.
How that one turned out is a story for another day.

Now Sands (who is trapped in Murdoc's body) waits for Stu, looking at every single thing. A leaf blows in the wind- he watches with rapt attention waiting for the breeze to kick up once more.

Well...Muds is there. That's...good. He's...watching a leaf. O...kay.

Stu shifts his weight awkwardly, clearing his throat. His fingers curl lightly on the handle of his cane and he tilts his head curiously. "Uhm. Muds...?"

He turns around, making no effort to hide the fact that he's checking the boy out. His eyes go from his face, down, and back up again.

He tortured El enough to get a few laughs out of Murdoc when they were hiding so he gives him one now- not much unlike Sands' own white trash smirk.

"'ello, luv. I brought you gifties." He walks in a straight line toward the boy, stalking, but turns before he gets to him and heads for nearby bushes. Sands nods his head toward them signaling for Stu to follow.

Stu is used to Murdoc looking at him but it still makes him go a bit pink. It strikes him as a bit strange that Muds is back talking with the accent, but he just assumes the boy has been drinking. He's been doing that a lot lately.
He frowns slightly, but shuffles after him, talking in a hushed voice. "Why are we going into the bushes, Muds? Why didn't you just come to my room...? We could've gone to the cave or something..." Something feels off about everything, but he can't quite place what it is.

Sands phone rings. The ring is La Vida Loca. Murdoc isn't sure if that's more funny or sad. A little nervous about answering for Sands, he takes a moment. It'd just be stupid to ignore it entirely, though...

"...Talk."

"Is that the polite way to answer a phone?"

"I need you to PINpoint my skinny ass down here. I've underestimated Stu's delicate sensibility. I think you should be here for this."

*Gives Stu a comforting (he hopes) smile*

He sniffles and lowers his eyes at the look. He doesn't like any of this.

Sands reaches for the kids hand. This is all going to be unwelcome once Murdoc explains thing but for now he just wants the boy not to be crying when Muds shows up.

Sands' excuses are only good for giving Murdoc a direction to glare in. He's thankful more than ever for the unfamiliar capacity for restraint that came with the swapping of minds. He'd really hate to kick the piss out of his own body right in front of Stu. Besides, then Stu's mom would come in and he'd have to shoot her or something. (The contingency plan isn't really fleshed out yet.)
"You kissed him?! ... motherfucker."
He even manages to keep his voice low. Self-control is neat!

Somewhere, it does register that kissing Stu really is a good way to calm him down and shut him up. It really is good that he didn't tell Sands to take Stu to the cave. Who the fuck knows what the man would have done to pacify Stu then?
"Whatever... And there's nothing wrong with my brain, shut up."

He moves his focus up and over to where he hopes Stu is and holds his hand out for the boy.
"Stu? I can't fucking see, so come over here....please."

"I was trying to get some privacy. I took him behind the bushes and he said 'Why are we behind the bushes now?' What he hell would you have done? Because I think you would have kissed him. So I did. I'm doing my fucking job here."
His own brain would have told him to shrug it off and be thankful that's the worst that happened. This one panics and becomes angry at the very idea that he could have done the wrong thing and everyone knows. He's overcome with the feeling that they both hate him and he absolutely must be believed when he says there was nothing else he could have done.

He growls and paces in a tight circle while the other two talk.

He sighs shakily and shifts onto his knees. There's a little grunt of effort as he pulls himself up to a standing position. He wobbles dizzily for a moment before shuffling over to the man that is apparently Murdoc. Tears are tracing their way down his face and he's gone pale enough that if Muds could see him, he would probably be worried. "...I don't like this..."

"Really? Cos I think this is just perfect. I was gonna stay like this. ...." He gives Stu a bitter, sarcastic smile and sighs, letting it fade.

Feeling how close Stu is, Muds reaches out to touch the boy's arm. He slides his fingers down to find and clasp Stu's hand. Normally, he can't make himself touch Stu in front of anyone, but now he isn't as afraid and he needs the solid contact and to know exactly where Stu is.

"I'm sorry. We didn't do this on purpose or anything, and we're going to fucking find a way to fix it. I just needed you to know that I'm..." What? Fine? That doesn't seem to fit somehow. "...that I'm not hurt or anything. It's gonna be okay, kid."

He wants to kiss him, to touch his face, to smell his hair...anything to make it feel more like seeing than this. ...But that would just frighten Stu more, and Muds holds back.
