It's probably a bad sign that the first movie I thought of was Big Trouble in Little China, though I think there's a decent hope for Wang Chi and Miao Yin...

Well we don't see much in the arena of what their relationship is actualy like, and it looks like possibly an arranged or child marriage coming to fruition. Plus, Wang Chi is a long haul trucker - which while not necessarily poison to a relationship, does suggest potential or abdandonment issues. Still, the familial nature of the community on display also suggests that maybe she'll find a reasonable support circle to rely upon during her boyfriend/husband's employment.

Well I'd suggest paging back a few days on the comic's arc. Right now there's a guy who's being instructed on how not to be a complete creep/stalker/tool, and how to actually pursue a romantic interest. Previously, this guy used classic high school, rom com stuff - up to and including blackmailing someone to go on a date with him.

So, pretty much anywhere is up.

IMO, I think this might be a fruitless endeavor, as with so much turning lead into gold. Still, with all of the discussion of MPDG tropes, I definitely figured you had something to weigh in here.
