So, I read "The Z Word" and had something of an mixed impression of it. Initially, I would have said it's probably one of the finer non-erotica stories to come out of the Sirenia Digest, but by the conclusion, I found myself unsatisfied and wanting more.* This is not to suggest that the story is necessarily a failure, but that it builds a promise
