So, I finished China Mieville's Iron Council over the weekend. It's pretty much what I expected, as I do enjoy his Bas-Lag world and such. Better than that, it looks like they are designing an RPG. There's some handy links in there. I don't know anything about the gaming company, but I'd be interested to see what they do.

What I meant when composing the title of my original post, is that it would seem that Mieville has an interest in disassembling what is expected in a traditional fantasy narrative. Don't expect Big Damn Heroes. In fact, sort of toss the idea of heroes out the window. And success.

Yeah, I think to be true to the novels, you'd kind of have to beat your players in the head with the uselessness of it all. Great deconstruction of fantasy gaming, maybe not exactly "fun".
