Technological observations

Apr 16, 2008 10:04

In the past 24 hours I have come to two potentially breakthrough discoveries regarding the world of technology:

-- DVD players respond better if you use the right remote
-- alarm clocks don't wake you up if you don't set them

Who knew?

I can confirm the second one was not just a freak occurence, as I had the same thing happen to me this morning

I often find that I set my alarm for the PM when it needs to be the AM. That always gets my goat.

I have found that some alarm clocks don't wake you up even when you have set them.

I have also discovered that when watching T.V in the UK, the Discovery channel can not be selected no matter the number of times the mute button is pressed.

That explains so much. And to think of the therapist bills I've paid over my paranoia that technological devices were in a conspiracy against me...

Although that doesn't explain why my lamp won't turn on if it isn't plugged in, no matter how many times I change the lightbulb.

It took me 4 jobs and two girlfriends to figure that out.

But I dont usually have alarm clock problems
