For real though, just imagine yourself in the place of someone reading submissions and having to reject one. You'd be all, "Look at this one! Perfectly good, but just not right for our publication at this time. Oh well, I'm sure it'll get published elsewhere!" You wouldn't be like "AHAHA THIS IS TERRIBLE, I AM GOING TO E-MAIL EXCERPTS TO ALL MY FRIENDS SO WE CAN ALL HAVE A GOOD LAUGH."

Stop feeling so down about your own abilities. If someone is going to look down on the establishment from which you got your degree, they always are, unless you went to the same school as them or something. Snobbery is no reason to feel bad about yourself, it's ridiculous and doesn't even matter. A first class degree is a first class degree and that's the end of it.
