I've actually seen this happen in real life before, though the guy got covered in green paint.

heh - the original thought was to have a mirror breaking and having Shelly make light of it, only for something to happen with Luke's curse (paternal line is cursed with lycanthropy) but I didn't want to venture down that route right away. I'm saving that for a different prompt
