AN: this stems from a Jewel Riders RP I did with some friends at one point, which had Drake as Ian's cousin (Drake's father was Ian's father's brother) - you can find more origin stuff that over here:
http://jewelpower.proboards.com/index.cgi The wolf prowled the area in front of Gwen, his amber eyes studying her intently. In some dim, distant way, he knew her - how, he couldn't say, but he knew her. He cocked his head in curiosity, waiting to see what the pink fluffy would do.
Gwen just looked at the wolf. It wasn't one of the Pack - nor was it Goliath (or as he was more commonly called - Ivan. It still boggled her mind that Ian's father, Ivan, and her father's companion wolf, Goliath, were one in the same. Ivan said he had decided to do it out of sheer boredom and amusement - that and Ian was fully grown so he didn't need his alpha poking his nose into his business). She glanced over at Tamara, hoping that the pink tressed maiden could use the Heart Stone to pick up on the wolf's thoughts.
Tamara nodded slightly, pulling out her Heart Stone and using it to try to reach the wolf. A look of confusion swept her pretty features and she tried again before lowering it. She turned to Gwen and shook her head. "For some reason, I just can't get through. There's a block or something - but from what I could get, he thinks you're a pink fluffy."
Gwen shot a look at the wolf, clearly annoyed with that description. "Well, I guess we either wait for Ian or one of the Pack to show." Hopefully, that meant Drake would show - after all, no-one had seen him in days and Gwen had to confess that she was starting to get worried.
The wolf settled down to watch - the golden chain catching the light in just the right way that it drew Tamara's attention to it. She quietly padded over and knelt down in front of him, gently fishing the chain out, untangling it from his fur. Her eyes widened in surprise and she turned to look at Gwen. "Gwen?" she called, moving her hand to show her the green Forest Stone.
Gwen's eyes widened in surprise as well. "Drake?" she ventured.
The wolf's head cocked as he thought, the memories slowly returning. A slightly sheepish expression crossing his features as he slowly nodded.
Gwen stared, dumbfounded.
