Peak swatted at the hand that kept poking him with the daisy. "Really?" he growled. "I mean, really?"

Lucy merely giggled.

Peak groaned. Terrific - Lucy. Normally he didn't mind the kid but her innocent little crush on him was starting to get on that last nerve of his. "Look, Lucy, I'm kind of busy right now so if you could come back later, I'll see if I can hang out with you."

"Sure!" she chirped before lightly kissing his cheek and taking off to look for Clawfire.

Peak groaned softly and grumbled. Maybe it wasn't too late to see if he could engineer a way for Dread to capture him today? [Even if it would have Z bitching him out for getting captured - maybe not if he found out it was a way to escape Lucy. Didn't Apex try that with Fryte when Tommy professed he had a crush on her?]
