I like the Glinda bit! It turned out well, especially the reference to her book of Records (lol, Glinda could be the ultimate gossip if she wanted to!)
And the Witch's son! Interesting development...
Locasta here is the Witch of the North, right? And Uschi is the woman who spurned the Lion?
Thank you! I was nervous since I never used Glinda before. I looked up the Wiki entry on her to make sure I had her coloring right and I spotted the bit on the Book so I knew I had to use that
And yes! There was a son in one version of the script that the WWoW wanted to put on the throne of Oz and I couldn't resist mentioning him - I just need to figure out now where he's hiding [A twisted part of me wants him hiding as the Scarecrow but that seems trite. Thoughts on that, Ry?]
and yep, Locasta's the Witch of the North [you mentioned her in the other Oz fic thing and I figured, why not?] And ::nods:: yep, Uschi is the woman who spurned the Lion [Uschi means little bear, a nod to the "Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh my!" (which according to the trivia was supposed to be a song originally!)]
I'm really curious as to why the Good Witch of the North would curse Florizel now. She's usually portrayed as such a beneficent old little lady!
Would the son be green/have a weakness to water as well? IDK about whether or not to have him as one of the companions, though...but what if the son doesn't know he's the son. Perhaps he serves in the Winkie army?
I'm thinking she did this as a way to regain his courage - just she didn't go about it in a conventional way
And that's a good question - the green skin might be too much of a giveaway while the weakness to water ::bites lower lip:: not sure how to use that effectively. Ideas on how to make it work effectively?
Refresh my memory, the Winkie Army - those are the ones patrolling outside the castle [the ones going "Oh we oh" (or as we say in my house, the "Oreo" men]
