I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. It always adds an element of tragedy when young children are left without a parent and a spouse is left to raise them alone.

Unfortunately you'll be in NYC during the Jewish holidays so I'll be in Connecticut with my family.

i'm sorry to hear about your friend...it happened to me, too in 1983 when my boyfriend died suddenly at age 47. that leads me to believe that you are correct:

"life isn't fair" and "only the good die young"

i wish i were going to be in nyc while you're there, i would have loved meeting for a coffee...but i'm going on sept. 26. are you going for pleasure?
