Hey sure I don't mind if I have to bring over a book or too. Just be specific about what you want so I won't have to spend like five hours in a bookstore to get you a book that you don't want...

What I'd like from the US... hum... let me get back to you on that =D

don't forget caramel kisses are great... with caramel made fresh in Robinson Illinois..

As for french books simple picture books would suffice, folk tales, an alphabet book, second hand books would be dandy... But I can always order some from Canada..

Do you want something *in French* or something *French*?
It may sound like a stupid question but you won't find the same kind of books at all here in France and in Canada...
You may find funny that the references are all weird to you and perhaps don't make sense!
You should look on the net to get an idea, and perhaps you could post me a link?? I'll do the shopping on Thursday =D

She probably wants something *in French*. She's had French classes all the way through college as well as high school (right, sis?) and she's very very fond of childrens books.

Yay, that means I have about £20 more to spend on something else if I need! I like sharing. :D

I haven't yet decided when exactly I'm leaving, though I imagine it'd be best if I didn't stay there late purely for trying not to spend more money.

Unfortunatley I'll be arriving at the hotel at about 5-7ish, can't be sure when exactly just not when I was hoping to get there by, but is because my seminar is indeed on the Friday this term and I'll have to leave with a later coach than I'd hoped. Otherwise I'd join you at the bar. :)

But talking of things people want from the U.S., is there anything you want from Norfolk...? I know you'll be in England generally for a while, but if there's anything you'd like specific to where in England I live, or if you can't be sure where to get something from in London, then do say.

That's just it, I have no idea what I'll want from the area. Well, besides maybe a pic of me beside a blue police box / TARDIS.

Well there's local beers, norfolk honey (I think they have norfolk lavendar honey infact and other lavendar products). I saw a Norfolk cookbook at the brewery one, traditional recipes. Local cider. Caleys chocolate, local. Colman's mustard... Mostly food or drink products apart from specific Norwich souvenirs theyre bound to have about town at the castle etc. I can't think of anything very specific to Norwich apart from any books on it, but this maybe me missing the obvious. I'll have to ask and see if anyone else knows of anything.

I'm probably going into the city on Monday for my costume shopping etc and I can look and see what the books etc on Julian are like. Cathedral might have some as well as bookshops.

Is your sister lollerette?

Anyway, they have an online giftshop infact and have books on the cathedral and on Julian and I can easily get a few books from there. Some of them would probably be available in normal bookshops but not all, probably not the smaller booklet like ones. Let me know if any of the ideas catch your fancy.

yes, I'm her sister.

If I can I will try to ship her a King Cake to smuggle in to England. So she can share some of the southern american traditions, as Mardi Gras is just around the corner...
