This goes on my list of "need-to-read-again-forever" fics. Damn you! The sea and the boys in the car having another one of their endless non-conversations and then Sam just going for broke at the end of the world...This story makes me despair of ever writing or pretending to write another word!

Thank you so much for ruining my life for this!

This has such a wonderfully thick, sensual atmosphere to it; it's gorgeous and every piece of it is oh so palpable, vibrant, glittering. I particularly love these lines:

Bobby is decent enough to give that answer a grave. "I don't doubt you," he says, "but Sam, you got to know, there's nothing else. Maybe it ain't how much you feel, it's how much you let yourself feel it." There's a frustrated snort on the other end of the line. "You got me sounding like a self help book. Sam, there is nothing else. Nothing. So figure that shit out."

It's such a fine, yet critical distinction. And I will never stop loving Winchester sea tales, particularly if selkies are in involved. Wondrous and memorable from start to finish. Really fantastic work. <3333

OH, but this was wonderful! I don't even remember my prompts, but that allowed me to get swept along like the sea. What a lovely tale! The selkie was, at once, mournful and alien, and that set the tone for the entire piece. So clever, how Sam had to make the decision to stay. And when he decided to stay? Daaaang, it was hot!

Your prose is toothy and atmospheric, which is such a delight to read. Thank you SO MUCH! It was worth the wait and then some. I'm beyond happy! I hope 2016 brings you health and joy, both of which you thoroughly deserve. :D

I love selkie fics, and they are few and far between in my fandoms. It's great to find one that not only offers a different take on the premise, but is also well-written. So many great lines in one short fic, that I couldn't choose just one. So, I went for my top three:

Beautiful craftsmanship: "...so completely without shyness that clothes on her would've seemed like dressing up a leopard".
Evocative of Prank Wars: "...and a croissant, just to piss Dean off".
Creepiness: "He wonders if with their sharp, sharp teeth, they'll eat him alive in punishment". (THAT one gave me the chills.)

What a deliciously satisfying fic - truly scary in its creepiness early on, and full of the tension of not knowing whether or not either of the (hardheaded) brothers could get past their own fear and repression to let Sam feel enough to have to stay. The little details you write into their first time together made it intensely intimate - just like throughout the story, i could almost smell and taste the sea. Thank you so much for sharing!
