give you some grown man

So I went to see New Kids on the Block last night in Toronto, and I was fully prepared for it to be an hour or so of embarassment squick and destruction of childhood memories, but instead, it was two hours of AWESOME. I'm not kidding, it was really great.

More about that. )

*commiserates* It's really best not to think on it too much. Really, really best.

It was so much fun! I don't know if it was just because I had such low expectations, but I really thought it was so good. Also, I think Donnie and JC may be kindred spirits, because Donnie kept having costume changes into these rock band t-shirts, only covered in glitter. At one point, I said to Stacey, "That is the sparkliest Led Zeppelin shirt I have ever seen!" I think JC would approve.

Awww....la la la tonight!!! Wheeee! So cute!

Donnie hugged you and cupped your face!!!! Was that unprompted? Because that's either adorable or creepy. I can't decide. Heh. Why did Jon mock you? So strange.

I bet the cough is smoke related. ::nods::

Well, ha! You totally would've asked Donnie do that. Totally. ;) I kinda meant something like what actually happened, I guess. Some sort of initial contact that lead into the face cupping. Or whatever. I really should be like, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!1!!!!111!!!!!! DONNIE TOUCHED YOU! ARE YOU NEVER GONNA WASH YOUR FACE?! YOU SHOULDN'T! HE'S SO HOT! OMG!OMG!OMG!

::ahem::

Man, I wish I went now. It looks like a silly fun time and we all need those once in awhile. :)

I wouldnt have minded seeing them on tour--- but I'll be happy seeing it on DVD or on TV. I got to see Duran Duran this year.... LOL one teen crush is good enough for me. Although they are playing my/their homestate at the end of the month so yeah.. bit of a big deal. Vh1 has this special that leads up to the show as well.

I really hope they release some sort of DVD, because it's such a good show, and I'd like to see it again.

Are they playing Boston, then? I guess that would be a pretty big deal. For 'Hangin' Tough' they all have Celtics jerseys, and there are a lot of other Boston references thoughout the show.

I believe one of the shows is September 28th. But yeah..I can imagine there's lots of boston references. There should be a dvd....please let there be one. LOL Now do they have costume changes for every song? that rotating stage is kind of cool-- almost like the moving stage that went out into the audience NSYNC had?

They didn't have costume changes for every song, but pretty often. And a lot of things like they would have a jacket on for one song, and take it off for the next one, so not a real costume change, but sort of.

The rotating stage was pretty cool. And nice for the people at the back, especially.

Danny ignored you? the heathen! Justin did that to me when I met the guys in 2000. Then again I was there to see the more handsome men on either side of him.

He totally did! I didn't mind, I just thought it was hilarious that he never even glanced my way at all. But everyone else at least said hi, and my two favourites initiated touching, so yay! Hee.

Oh, Justin. At least he wasn't your favourite. :D

I didn't realize until JUST NOW how much I want to see them on tour.

I was IN LOVE with them the first time around and missed the tour because I had a dance competition, it was devastating! I feel kinda like I'm 12 years old and I missed my chance again.

I know, I didn't know how much I wanted to see them until I was there!

That's so sad that you didn't get to see them! Is there any chance that you could catch a show on this tour? When I saw them all those years ago, we were like, all the way at the back and all the way at the top of the huge concert space, and we had to use binoculars, but it was still THE most exciting thing that had ever happened to me. And I was totally convinced that Joe had seen my sign that I made, ahahaha!
