Crisis over! In regard to my last post, we don't need to spend upwards of £25 on a cable now (*touch wood*) because Al found a how-to-fix-it-yourself online, and we had my mother cutting and soldering wires last night and it seems to be working again! Hooray! Screw you Apple! In answer to your comments - they charge that much because they can -
