The show is amazing at least up through the end of season 4, where it peaks. Since then it just hasn't been as satisfying. I tried to capture the whole 'IDK IF I SHOULD BE CHEERING FOR THE SERIAL KILLER?' vibe of watching the show here, although the fic's so short that I'm not sure how well it came through. :)

Oh nice. Towards the end, the two shows definitely started overlapping and I thought I was reading a Dexter fic for a second...I had to pause and switch gears back to Steve and Danny :)

I'm not sure I understand why the tattoo snapped everything together?

Haha, I hope the overlap was a good thing and I wasn't getting too far into Dexter and out of H50. :D

Steve's tattoos came from his military service. And Steve is a cop. And Danny went, 'oh' because at that moment it was all staring him in the face. With its arms crossed.
