Whee! Adorable crack! I love crack! And Gaila!crack is my favorite flavor! I can totally see Jim being highly confused and Spock totally running with the whole situation, cause he's unflappable like that.

At this point in their lives, Spock has just given up on fighting and allowed himself to be carried away by the current. His acquisition of a dog that he converses with and dresses in scarves illustrates this mental surrender.
