but if you're poor enough to not be able to afford health insurance, why aren't you killing yourself because poor people don't belong in america?

now you get fined for not having it right? do you have a link to the bill?

the gap gets wider and wider....

and i agree with you on parker griffith. he is elected to represent his constituency, which is a bunch of republicans. his voting history is republican anyhow. he is just representing the views of alabama (even though they are backwards in my opinion)the people who elected him. i say kudos to him.

Yeah, its a $90ish fine I think. Which is kinda backwards...I don't think the poor should have to pay that if they can't afford it, but I do think the poor should have an option that is affordable for them...because really, everyone needs health insurance. We're forced to get car insurance for a good reason. One part of the new bill that I really like is that dependant coverage is extended 4 or 5 years, so instead of being dropped off your parents' insurance at age 21 or 22 (whatever it is now) kids have time to get out of college and get a stable job to afford their own insurance. I don't have a link to the actual bill, but there is an information page out there somewhere that deatails the highlights of the bill. It was put together over the weekend by some bignames.
