Stereotypes suck.

In your opinion, is it somehow wrong, strange, hypocritical, or contradictary to dress "preppy" when you have stretched ears? Somebody said something about me wearing a polo and clear glass plugs, and I found it somewhat odd. I just liked the shirt. :P

bahahahaha thats the best response ive heard in a long time.

its kind of along the same lines as "to be straight edge you have to listen to punk or hardcore"

i just dont see why people care.

to that persons credit though, they might be old, and the only people they see with stretched ears are the goth and nu-metal freaks that shop at hottopic and are too "different" from everyone to dress nice or even have a polite attitude when people ask about their piercings.

i agree with the statement about stretched ears but i think to be edge you must at least understand the music that spawned it, yknow?

Thats moot anyway as this is about stretching. sorry.

As long as you love how your lobes look, who cares what kind of clothes you wear? ;]

stereotypes are a pain in the ass. it's really what they covered before yanno thinking it's a "hardcore" thing or that bullshit about being different. you like what you like. people make it such a big deal.
we have a teacher and student teacher who both had stretched ears. i think neither of them were larger than a 2g though.
two nights ago me and my friends went to friendlys and we saw two hippie guys, one with like 1" ears, and the other with a septum piercing. they both had greying hair and were wearing tyedye.
whenever anyone says anything to me about how i look i say "if you don't like it don't look at it." haha.

In regards to the two guys at the restaurant[?],
the only people I knew of with stretched ears before I did mine were hippies. I had never seen any "punk" kids or whatever with them until about a year later.

yeah same. it just really made me happy for some reason. i think being hippies is the only reason my parents aren't totally strange about me and my sisters choices.

I think stretched ears can look quite nice with professional clothing. Especially when the people have white or the nice wood plugs.

Though I do think other piercings take 'professional attire' down a notch, stretched ears really don't seem to in my opinion. (They better not cause I wear them every day with my professional attire)
