Leslie. Lee. Hotness. Are You Getting It?

P-REX/PARKS AND REC/P & R

I finally got to watch Parks and Recreation last night and I reeeally liked it. More giggles and big smiles and clapping for me than big laughs, but it has loads of potential. (Yes, clapping. Like dorky clapping, whenever Amy/Leslie did something adorable which was 80% of the time ( Read more... )

Happy Easter!

Amy is so cuuuuute. Buttload of charm she brings onscreen. Totally agree that she nails the go-getter so well.

The show is slightly slow but there is so much potential in Amy-Rashida pairing. Excited for next week! How many episodes are there in the first season?

Happy Easter. :)

Amyyyy. I love her so. I think it is a testament to her performance that Leslie Knope's happiness mattered to me right away.

Ah, Leslie/Ann. Mark/Leslie is sweet, but I enjoy watching relationships begin and grow (sort of like Jack/Liz), which is why L/A is more appealing to me. Haha. I sound a little like a shipper already!

I think, originally, they were given 12 but they've now been reduced to 6? But don't quote me on that one, I can't remember my source.

Omg thank you for the Parks love. I feel like people just aren't getting that, and it makes me annoyed. Leslie is an awesome character, I already love her and it's not just because of Amy, but she helps a lot. Because she does play that kind of character fantastically, and is so damned charming!

Oh, Jon Hamm needs my vote in that meme, too!

I really hope people give it a chance. Because we're only 1 episode in and already I saw some solid characterization and A LOT of absurdly funny quotes.

The character is definitely charming on her own but Amy brings a certain depth to her that I know only she can bring. :) And the thing is I don't even think that's how Amy approaches it. She does it all so effortlessly onscreen. ♥

I am going to pimp this meme on a few comms. Because it's so much and un-demanding. Haha.

I really hope it gets its chance, too. I worry.

Oh man, I agree with you on that. I noticed a lot of trademark Amy-expressions in her performace that anyone else just wouldn't have had, hahaaw. She's a far better actress than people give her credit for, you know - she knows her characters.

To be honest, I trust and like NBC more than any other American network, so I hope they'll be kind to the show as it tries to establish itself.

Amy Poehler should take Ricky Gervais' advice and do a Holocaust movie, because I personally think she is good enough for an Oscar. Haha. Being fangirly here, but I'm not exaggerating! Girl has range. :)
