Week 8 - The Heart of Time

There are mathematical patterns in everything; even us, I say, as crazy as that sounds. And I know she's the one because she laughs when I say that, and kisses me on the cheek.

But I mean every word, every phrase, and I believe it in the same way that I believe the proofs that my work is founded on. She doesn't see it, yet, but I do.

I really liked how this was told (especially as a math geek myself), though I'm surprised things went so well after her randomly turning down the prom date. It wasn't simply that she said no, but that it was rudely done. What caused her to reconsider?

The ending to this was beautiful, in both a romantic sense and in a mathematical abstraction sense. :)

I think the thought is that she didn't think they had enough in common, then, but she also felt bad about it and that's why slipped him the number. It definitely belongs in the piece, maybe at the end, as a recollection.

I'm glad it worked because as I said above, I thought it might get a bit too deep into the jargon but I really wanted to express a point of view that I haven't seen very often, a more rigid (if you will) look at a relationship.
