i AGREE! where do you go to shows? most of the ones i go to are in downtown boston which is the last place to be late at night for lil kids--might i mention that i see some kids at venues with their parents. i wouldn't have a snowball chance in hell of getting any of my family members to go with me to a show.

as to that question 'what happened?', i could begin by saying that many of the original punks are dwindling away and its being replaced by kids that don't have a real reason to be angry, depressed, or dressing like they do. Back in the day, the punks were angry and disdained due to social injustice, unemployment, fakeness and masks that common people put on to appeal to the public at large, ad nauseam. they saw these problems and took initiative with them, such as expressing their disdain through distressed/original fashions and body modification. what are these 12 yr olds angry at? curfew? they're not old enough to have encountered any trials of the adult world and being on their own and supporting themselves.
