Happy belated Canada Day and Independence Day to all!

"Yep. Long day. Was at the...." I stutter for a second. It's so strange to describe my work. "... I was at the job site for thirteen hours today." I reply."

Do you find people aren't sympathetic to you when you describe your work (and that it tuckers you out)? I would think that if anyone would, a waitress would understand the exhaustion of needing to be "on" for hours, especially compounded with your level of exercise.

Sometimes yes. Sometimes people ask "How can doing that tire you out?" To which I never really have a good reply, unfortunately. It makes me want to be a little snide, but I usually just grin and tell them I have boundless energy.

I have so much respect and awe for your profession and its storied history. Some of my earliest memories are of street performers who made an otherwise normal day magic for me, and I can only hope to pass some of it on. Even considering all the differences between our paths, you remind me why I picked music.

Words like that mean more than I think you realize. Little things like that make me want to keep going... Passing it on (as the Fraggles said!) is the best thing we can do to serve humanity I believe.
