You said it's okay to leave the image links alone? I'm not familiar with CSS so I didn't mess with anything - like moving the images to my own photobucket or anything - for fear of screwing it up big time.

Go to Sidebar ate the Customize Area and set Show tags in the sidebar? to Yes. That should do it.
