It makes sleeping up there a little hazardous, really. Sokka's spending more time off the roof, occasionally sleeping on his own work roof when all three of the firebenders are having sneeze attacks.
It's just safer.
But today, he has a reason to go up there, and while building a suit of fire retardant armor wasn't really an option, Sokka does climb the ladder with a makeshift scarf wrapped around his nose and mouth. He might not sneeze fire, but he doesn't want to get sick all the same.
"I come with gifts!" he calls, muffled past the scarf as he gets up the ladder.
"...maybe I should have clarified," Sokka replies thoughtfully, finishing his climbing and letting some thick pieces of padded aluminum hit the floor of the roof, "I come bearing a fire-proof playpen for my nieces and possibly their father while everybody's spewing flames."

Zuko prefers that to gifts.

Well.
Zuko's brows lift.
"That's good," he finally says.
