Sometimes, you have to say, 'dammit, I'm going down and the kids are going with me'.
Going down as in 'down the ladder' and 'the kids are going with me' means that Mel has seen them all down, helped him get packed, and let him wander.
It's partly physical training. Here under the sun his legs are rapidly improving. Walking is so much easier now-- walking with the weight and pitch of two babies in swings -- Loo over his shoulder, Hana against his chest -- is excellent for him, for his body and spirit both.
Maybe, just maybe, Zuko'll get a little more confidence back. For now, he's looking around places and talking softly to the girls--
--and listening.
