Okay, okay, I'll admit it.

I've been a tiny bit clingy with Steph lately. A little bit. I mean, I'm not crazy clingy. It's not like I'm worried she can't go to the bathroom all by herself or anything. But we sleep together (not like that) and we tend to eat together and go out for walks and all that together, so really, there's not a lot of time ( Read more... )

It gives other guys a chance to step in on Robin's relationship with her, too!

Oh, look! There's a candidate!

"...You're Robin, right?" says the boy in the stoop, looking pleased, soehow, at the tossing of the batarang. His is put away for now, but there's a plank of wood in his lap and aknife in his hand and a pile of wood shavings on the ground directly under it.

WATCH OUT, STEPH, SOKKA IS TOTALLY PREPARED TO IMPRESS NOW

Nodding absently with his eyes still on the shuriken, Sokka looks up only as he hands it back. "I'm kind of tempted," he admits, grinning a little sheepishly, "but I have no idea where I'd keep them, even if I did know how to throw them. I'm running out of room here."

Knife in the belt loop, boomerang at one shoulder, club on the other.

"If you're sure," I reply, shrugging. It's not like I'm dying to spend all my time making shurikens out of scrap metal, after all, but the offer is still there.

...also, is it weird that I feel like I have to be nice to Steph's friends out of obligation? I never really had this feeling before; mostly, Steph and me...well, we had each other, when we could find the time. This is new.

'Awkward' as a description of this conversation isn't quite correct, but it's close enough that Robin's shrug is giving Sokka a bit of a hint. With a nod and an easy smile, he bends down to the stoop to retrieve his carving and starts to step around the other boy. "For now, yeah, but if you keep the offer open, who knows? Not like there's a lot to do around here.

"Nice meeting you." This is punctuated by a wave as he walks down the street, back toward the hotel.

Yup. Niiiiiiiiiice and strange.
