Oooh, great answers! I should have specified in (3) "without any dire consequences", but you could have made the same argument. I'm a pretty big "shit happens and we grow from it" sort of person, so I've got to agree, in the end.
I've never read Esquire, and now you've made me want to pick one up! My three magazines of choice are Adbusters, Wired, and Geez, and none of that's really light reading, which is sometimes what I look for in random "off the shelf cause I'm bored" magazines. That and I love looking at yummy men's clothing.
Giles! Ianto! Wesley! All my favourite characters from those three shows. Clearly, we should get married. I love that archetype as well, with a passion. Or Daniel from Stargate, though he's less support-y, in a way. Or maybe I just love him because he's smoking. Hm...
I've never seen Pushing Daisies but I keep hearing wonderful things about it. Maybe when I... have some free time? When Doctor Who's done and I need another "me" show. Surprisingly many to choose from, which is nice!
Esquire, GQ, and Maxim are all guilty pleasures for me, although Maxim a little less because it has too much almost-nudity. But generally, men's magazines are a huge panoply of stuff that women's magazines avoid (tech, cars, entertainment) because obviously women are only supposed to be interested in what drives a man wild in bed. *eyeroll* I love Wired's website and I have RSS feed on their top stories, but I've never picked up one of their physical magazines.
Hehehe ... I'm honestly not big on Daniel because the actor playing him on the series strikes me as a bit of a jerk. But while I'm at it - also Rodney? =D
Now is a good time to get a leg up on Pushing Daisies, because due to the writer's strike they only got nine episodes in before the first season ended, which is pretty tiny for an American show. I definitely recommend it. It's witty, quirky, and the pacing is awesome. Plus, Ned is an adorable main character, and all the cast is likable. Especially Chi McBride's supporting role.
... thinking of Rodney McKay in the same category as Wesley and Giles makes me LOL so hard, Cee. Ianto, though, definitely. Stop making me want to write an(other) epic TW/SGA crossover. >.>;;
1. You have the power to choose one decade's fashion to wear for the rest of your life. Which would it be and why? (And yes, undergarments are included.)
2. If you could sleep with one famous dead person from history, who would it be and why?
3. You have ten CDs in your visor to listen to while you're driving every time you get in the car ... which albums would you choose?
4. Congratulations, you did something heroic and earned a free trip to any time, any place, from the Doctor. Where/when do you go and why?
5. In your many years of RP, you've played a lot of characters. Who was your favorite original, and why; and who was your favorite media, and why?
