Maybe the prescription contact lens industry should look at this trend and make something safe.

I saw this today. I so agree! I really want circle lenses but am too scared to get anything non-FDA approved. :(
contact industry needs to get on the trend and make some safe ones for consumers!!

I know! If they can make safe colored lenses, they should be able to make circle lenses too.

ILLEGAL! CONTRABAND! NOT FDA APPOVED, therefore they MUST be dangerous!!

Fuck you FDA, it's not like you don't passively approve (or not even investigate into) most of the things you permit. Fuck you.

God, I'm sorry this just has me pissed. The risks they list are exactly the same as those for regular contacts, except maybe the curvature issue. But some Circle Lenses do come with different base curves.

Did you know that in the Netherlands you can go to a place like Longs or Walgreen's and just pick up contacts without a prescription? I don't see tons of blind Dutch people wandering the streets.
