Gahh, I wish I was more awake so that I could write you a really good review for this. I always feel like the more unique/unusual fics deserve the best reviews. Unfortunately I'm still half asleep. T_T
That said, I enjoyed this one. The incest side didn't bother me at all, actually. I liked the melancholy tone a lot. The writing style especially, and word usage. It gave it an overall "different" tone, as well it should, since it's a completely different setting than usual. That stood out to me immediately. Excellent use of words/tone. <33 The ending line especially is much much love. <3 I wish I was as talented at closing a fic so well. ;_

Aww it's okay! It's still a long comment which I enjoy reading~<3
I'm glad the incest didn't bother you! I know you're kinda adverse to this side of the BL world;;; that said, people actually like the incest. >_>;; Weird. And aaah thank you! *beams* It's probably the lack of contractions (I have a tendency to do that when it's set in an older time period) that gave the language a little different feeling...and I love the last line too. It took me awhile to come up with it. ;_;
There's supposed to be some time in-between, it's just I can't carry it across given the position of the flashback and the fact this is only one "story" long. XDD (Or maybe I could, and it just didn't work out as well.)
I'm not surprised you thought it was Atemu - it doesn't seem like Yuugi to begin. I just like him as the big brother because everyone writes him as some little, helpless baby. =__=
LOL HOW DID I MISS THAT! Thanks for pointing that out, and the comment! <33 Go and get more sleep, you need it. :P
It's not the incest that I'm adverse to so much as lust/force in BL. In this fic I got the impression that there was also an emotional side to Heba's feelings for his brother. So that made it acceptable to my weird preferences. xD (Though if you intended for it to just be lust...then I guess that didn't work. Because I definitely got an emotional vibe. xD)
ETA: I love the Yugi-as-big-brother idea, BTW. I don't like the helpless little baby interpretation of Yugi either, as you know. x3
