DNC madness!

I have to admit, as pissed off as I am at the Democrats, it was pretty exciting to live in a host city. I think Denver did a fantastic job, and I'm proud of us. No major incidents - yay! There was a lot of bad press about the Denver cops. I'm not a huge fan of the DPD, but the truth is, they were damned if they do, damned if they don't. I thought ( Read more... )

You know some of the media gave her a hard time over the pant suit color she picked. While I don't normally like orange (it reminds me of jail outfits), I think it was a good fit. The two blue ones would have blended her in, and the red was just too typical. Orange was good. And she looked beautiful.

Why the hell can't we judge some of these guys on their ties? I mean Kerry, I think dressed himself last night...

Hahaha!

Yes, I did hear the criticisms. It's so ridiculous. After all the uproar about sexism in the media, they just keep on keepin' on. That's why I keep speaking out about it!! It's maddening.

That said, I do love fashion, so here's my analysis! ;-) If she had worn red -- not only is it the color of Republicans, it's the color of war, blood, power, etc. That would have been a reeeally bad move. You're right, blue would have blended her into the background on the stage. Purple is too ... I don't know... I love purple, but for her speech, I think it would have been too feminine. Orange is the color of sunshine, hope, the future, joy. I thought it was a great move, and it was a beautiful color on her. Just look at that picture above!

Ahhh, I'm such a fan girl. tee hee

Oh! And one more thing... she, along with the background, became the Denver Bronco colors. Shout out to Denver!
