My bank, and the sweet-ass credit card they gave me, is getting bought out by PNC bank in Pittsburgh. I suspect my credit card will cease to be sweet-ass once January rolls around.

There's plenty of Next Generation seventh season episodes I didn't get to see more than once or only in part because of bad VCR timer recordings back in the day. I've gotten to the episode Gambit I. After hearing about the debate raising everybody's blood pressure, I'm glad I watched four inexcusible fielding errors send the Dodgers four runs into their 10 - 3 victory over the Cubs.

Why would I want to buy non-refundable tickets to a Cubs NLCS game that probably won't happen?

Some of these things I'd like to try. Others I'd like to stay far away from.

I did my civic duty Saturday. No, I didn't vote yet. I returned my long-awaited copy of Spore.

Earlier this year, conflicting stories in the tech press suggested that after extensive consumer protest, Spore would not ship with the SecuROM copy-protection software. Ultimately, it apparently did.

802.11g FTW!

We've been using my crap-ass 802.11b router in the house the last month, and the signal doesn't reach through the old-timey lath & plaster walls. The newer router goes straight through them like butter. Or at least like drywall.
