I know the feeling. I was actually a little concerned by how red/orange my gold bits were when I saw 'em for the first time. It'll mellow.

Sweet. How long did it take once the actual tattooing got started?

prolly 2.5-3 hours. I showed up at 1 and we finished at 4:30 is but there was design time in there so we didn't really start tattooing till about 2ish.

Also it didn't really start hurting too bad until the last 3 layers of color where i then began reciting multiplication tables to take my mind off it.

It's akin to putting you skin through a sewing machine but with no thread and much smaller needles

I always start to really feel it about ninety minutes into the process. It's when the adrenaline and endorphin supply starts to run dry.
