I'm so sorry life took it out on you, and very happy you're writing again. Now I need to catch up again, and to read back earlier chapters of this fic I do love fiercely to reconnect the dots. I wonder if you'd like me to send you an AO3 invite? If any fic deserves to be widely available, including as downloadable eBook (selfish moi talking!) it's this one.

I do actually still have the almost-finished account you gave me the invite for last year. I've just got to finish putting everything in html. I've got a couple of things to do first (replying to outstanding comments and reviews, then finishing getting chapter 17 all typed up from the written version), but I intend to have it done by this time next week. I'll let you know as soon as it's all posted there, okay?

I'm afraid not, although I now want to read about him to see if there are any parallels... Douglas is entirely mine, based on the best parts of teachers and family friends, and I named him on a bit of a whim, really. I wanted a strong name that would make readers think of someone warm, and a Scottish one seemed the perfect solution. Aside from that, I just like it, haha!

MOST HILARIOUS RADIO SERIES EVER. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Martin, Roger Allam as Douglas, Stephanie Cole as Carolyn and the writing genius who dreams it up, John Finnemore as Arthur.
There are, um, ways of acquiring episodes. For the first season, start here.

Oh please don’t rush just to please us (although, do in fact!!!! *grin*) - it’s wonderful to know things are getting better with your personal life, and having almost given up hope of this brilliant story ever being completed, it’s sheer joy to have you back writing again.
*rubs hands in glee*
Anyway . . . on to this chapter!
”Despite knowing that the charade will almost certainly end soon, now that he has the security of being known to someone, Sherlock finds that he is genuinely unwilling to commit to either verbal response.”
Yes, he’ll ever be wary, no matter how innocent anyone appears, until the “thing” is finally completed.
”Still, knowing that he has support - even from idiots - sparks a warm feeling in the vicinity of his sternum.”
Ha ha - Sherlock is human after all . . .!!
And again ~
”Sherlock giggles his way through the online coverage ...the most light-hearted thing we’ve seen Sherlock do in this story ( ... )
