I get that the whole thing is targeted toward doomsday preppers/Second Amendment zealots, but all i could think was "are you trying to help domestic terrorists?" And yeah, I know - the not-so-small number of domestic terrorists

Yep, definitely could form part of a terrorist’s equipment, but then so could any legal weapon I suppose. If weapons of mass killing are legal then preparing terrorist attacks is also legal, even if the actual planning and execution of them is not.

Well, not only that. But if one were to argue that "if weapons of mass killing are legal then preparing terrorist attacks is also legal" (and I get that you were probably being facetious, but one could argue that sincerely), all the sneakiness still pushes it into creepy terrorist plotting territory.
