I've been thinking about LJ reposts lately.

While it has become pretty widespread in LJ-RUssia, for some reason, it never caught on in English-speaking Livejournals. I think the big reason for this is that the function introduced not long after the big exodus that followed the mass DDoSings of 2011. Out of curiosity, in LJ-Russia do you see more use of the old-style reposting (where your new entry is pre-filled with the contents of the entry you're reposting) or new-style reposting (where your entry shows up in my journal as if you were a guest author)?

Honestly, I see them both about equally - except in posts to communities, where it's always the old-school way.
