A Rally for the Reader - Chicago Reader reporters urge investment in paper, fair contract

In January 2015, Chicago Reader staff voted to unionize, joining what was then known as the Chicago Newspaper Guild (they since dropped the "paper" part). A year and nine months later, they still don't have a contract. Good report. I can tell you that the singer is Jon Langford, one of the founders of the Mekons and the Waco Brothers. Pretty cool fellow; met him once. Getting him was quite a smart move on the Reader folk's part. He has a sideway connection with science fiction fandom. His brother is Dave Langford who I'm much more familiar with from SF fandom (he and I have mutual friends, and I've had dinner with him.)
