Snagged fromdragonsinger

Day 9: Your least favorite couple - House/Cuddy. I disliked the idea of them together so much I basically stopped watching House. I couldn't believe that the writers ever put them into a relationship in the first place. I just felt that Cuddy was too intelligent/successful/independent to ever get involved with a headcase like ( Read more... )

Not doing the meme, but thought I would drop in and wave my 'don't like' towel of agreement at you (for both the wincest and D/M). I stopped reading a lot of Highlander fic in the late 90s/early 2000s because I couldn't get away from D/M and I was sick of it as it isn't a romance pairing I like - friendship fics are a different kettle of fish, but there were precious few of those.

And there were even what I called 'stealth D/M fics'. It's no where in site, and you get mostly through the story, and suddenly, unexpected D/M is unexpected. It was like the authours figured no one was reading their non D/M fic and added it as an afterthought. And I just love friendship fics so much, so you end up feeling a wee bit cheated [g]

It is always nice to know I'm not alone because that stuff seems to dominate both those fandoms. I rarely read highlander fic that isn't by a my friends because I know they won't surprise me with unwanted D/M

Yeah, not a fan of the House/Cuddy. Glad I stopped watching before that happened. Right up there with my other not favourite pairing, Mulder/Scully. I may not be very shippy in general, but when I dislike a ship, it's usually pretty intense. Of course, in that group is also D/M - it's like mental nails down a chalkboard LOL I even have an icon I made as a humourous protest. Some of it may be that I'm just not that into Duncan, so I can't see why Methos would be. Maybe. Dunno.

I was on the verge of not watching House and that pairing made the decision to drop it from my DVR very easy.

I'm just not that into Duncan, so I can't see why Methos would be.
that is a valid point. For me it's because they have such a solid friendship that I have trouble seeing it as more then that. Also while I might see Methos in his very long life having no issues with bisexuality, Duncan just does not strike me as a guy who would swing that way.

Well, that too - it's the just can't see Duncan feeling that way about Methos which is the majority of my feelings for that pairing.

Since when do most fans care about what's in character? (FTR, I wholly agree with your comment!)
