No Power Sucks

Jan 28, 2009 17:08

And we just lost power. I hope it's not for days like last time.

*Sighs* I guess I'm pulling out the pen and paper once the lap top dies.

You'd be surprised how warm a fireplace can make a small house. If it hadn't come back we had plans to go to a friends house becasue it would have been too cold to stay overnight.

It does - power came back just in time for lights out - so typical. *sighs*

It's amazing how big an impact electricity has in modern living and how much you can miss it when it's gone. Glad that you are staying warm.

We seem to lose power at least a couple of times a year - It does make me think about Mag7 and what it must have been like back then- hell I couldn't even cook anything becasue it's all electric. But it's all back and warm Yay

When we lost power this summer, it was so frustrating to want to do something and then realize I couldn't do it since there was no power. I do love that in Mag 7 a lot of the scenes are dark because they are trying to keep it as close to real as possible; no street lights and just oil lamps. Nice to be warm, though.

I do think the show tried to make it more realistic then most westerns - sucks for capping but it does give a nice atmosphere to the show
