In addition to being an aspiring cookbook author, a very occasional caterer, and having more than a passing interest in Medieval food, I'm also one of three people that runs the kitchen at an annual metaphysical festival called PUF.  It's a marathon of fun and hard work where we feed around 400 people three meals a day for four days, and our entire ( Read more... )

What a fabulous post! I'm so happy for you. And clearly, this is an author of quality and discernment. Just for that, I might actually go look up some of his/her books.

Believe me, I've started to wonder that myself. But, as long as I can go to PUF or even swing through Alabama, I know Rachel will feed me and it's all good. :-)

I was in the kitchen when the sausage was discovered missing. I must say, I have never seen you so heartbroken.

I have worked in the kitchen during PUF several times. It is really the only job at PUF I feel comfortable doing--and without you there it would simply not be the same.
