You could write about going to a ten-year reunion and either running into the person who had bullied you, the person you had bullied, or the date you ditched at prom. ETA: I had a bastard of a time reading this out loud! Like, stuttering and flipping words around and everything! By the time I got to the last bit, I had my nose right down by the page and was just yammering away. *facepalm* I think one of you will have to come with and read my stuff out loud for me in the future! XD (And yet, I've got court tomorrow morning and I can assure you that I'll be able to talk just fine there. The hell, brain...)It could be that you KNOW you're good at lawyering because Bossman kind of-sort of told you something similar to that effect maybe. Since you don't HAVE a writing Bossman, maybe you haven't built up the same confidence

Or maybe writing is just closer to your heart, and you are thus more sensitive.

I suspect this is very much the case. And I've next to no experience when it comes to reading my stuff out loud for an audience until this year, so there's that as well. (But I'm usually better at it than this! What a mess! XD)

I was messing around with another introspective bully (nice phrasing there!) character in a present-tense story but didn't like it enough to continue, so I guess I've got bullies on the brain or something. (Oh man, I literally can't set foot in my old junior high school without the smell of the place making me start to freak out.)

But nobody just wakes up and goes "Today, I shall be an evil fucker!", do they...? Everybody justifies the things that they do somehow. Just sometimes the logic is a little more, uh, tortured reaching that conclusion. (Not to belabor this or anything! Sometimes I just fling thoughts around for the sake of doing so. *g*)
