I had that happen! They replaced my concrete steps that come out of my apt. - only they didn't say when they were doing it and I open my door to leave for work and there's multiple totally wet concrete steps for me to scramble over to get out. I ended up tippy-toeing around on the wooden framework. Thankfully there weren't that many steps otherwise I'm sure I would've fallen on my face or ass. Heh.

Ahahaha! This is a real problem! X-D (Some fellow zoomed over and put down a plank for me to teeter across once I stuck my head out the door like a bewildered gopher, so I lucked out!)

Oho, but do I get kung fu powers as soon as I put it on?? I'll have to test this out! *g*

It's damned reassuring hearing that I'm not the only one who was a bit thrown by the school-to-work transition, frankly. *glomps*

Yes, you're definitely not the only one to struggle with that transition. It's a pretty abrupt one if if you've got time to take off in between. It's like all of a sudden...this is my new life. For the rest of my life! And having to figure out how to be an adult with this adult job... It's all a bit weird and traumatizing. Funny how nobody mentions this part at graduation.
