Speaking of potentially awful media, I sat through the entire first episode of Vampire Diaries last night in hopes that it wouldn't be...

I watched VD last night and it was just boring. My friend was a bit miffed and said I must be hard to impress. Whatever. And Im so OVER Twilight. Our NEWS stations have a Twilight Watch segment...*headdesk* But I did laugh at the Wentzface comment!

And I saw his twitter and went omg. They make it SO easy.

I think even if you're a Twilight fan, this just seemed like a watered down version. I think media in general is a little supersaturated with vampire-with-a-heart-of-gold stories these days, unfortunately. (Bwah!! Twilight Watch!)

So easy! How am I supposed to be satisfied with subtle subtext again after this? X-D

Apparently VD was out BEFORE Twilight though...I did like the fact that the vampires in VD were more old school with flying and not sparkling lol.

You should try True Blood; just focus on the murder-mystery aspect instead of the hobo vampire for the first season, and then fall in soul-crushing lust with Eric and Godric through the second. :D I posted a pic of Godric to my journal, too, if you're interested :P

Whatever you do, don't read the books. The books are terrible. XD Theshow is pretty good, though--it doesn't hit it's stride for like half a season, but after the Epic Romance is finally established (and they manage to decide who the antagonist is) it's a great guilty pleasure stat away from the fandom, though--they suck more than the books do.

Hear, hear. I got sucked into the vampire vortex via Anne Rice, so by the time I stumbled across BtVS and Angel, the vamps-with-souls thing was still a novelty. At this point, the shiny has sort of worn off.

I'm a giant dork. But it looks so cool! Hee!

Oh man, if I thought it wouldn't kill me in interviews, I would get a labret in a heartbeat.

I just watched Push last weekend. it was entertaining. Chris Evans is always delish to look at and umm, Djimon Honsue? Always BEAUTIFUL.

Oh, excellent! I hadn't heard anything about it aside from newspaper reviews, so I was concerned it was going to be Jumper all over again where I got my hopes up for nothing.

The TV was on for the entire episode of Vampire Diaries, but the only things I can tell you about it are:

idek anyone's names. it was really bad.

Pete is crazycakes and adorkable. Sometimes i really love him. And sometimes i blame him for my inability to hit the shift key or use proper punctuation, when its really just laziness.
