WHY, dammit?

Augh! Bloody frightening 'My body is asleep but my brain is zooming around' phenomenon whose name I can never remember... Aha, Hypnagogic hallucination. I hate that. It always leaves me feeling all jittery and creeped out and I've had it happen three damn times this week! What the hell?

I think maybe I do that too. I certainly have some very vivid thoughts and then end up hearing my alarm and thinking...where did my sleep go? Plus the whole jolting awake thing before actually falling asleep. Weirdness, you art the human body.

The creepiest experience for me was when I first moved up here... I was napping on the couch and very distinctly heard boots walk over to me (my auditory hallucinations with these tend to be crystal clear) and then felt someone staring down at me while I couldn't move or wake up properly. (And then I woke up and phoned my mommy for comfort. Hee!)

No kidding though, eh? Brains do some bizarre things.
