OpenID consequences - will need access regranting by DW users

Before I changed my LJ username, I wondered what this was going to do to the old OpenID presence based on it which I had on Dreamwidth. Nobody knew for sure, so in the end I decided to find out by just doing it and seeing what happened.

I can now report that the answer is that I have lost control of the old OpenID, and have been allocated a Read more... )

(the DW journal is just a copy of my LJ journal; I've a permanent account here and have no immediate plans to migrate to DW)

Cheers. Yes, sounds like it's only really a formality in your case - as I think is also the case for several of the others I've listed. It only really matters if people are posting flocked comment on DW which can only be commented on there. But I just wanted to be sure people knew about the change.

Cool, thanks. It's only really important if people are posting flocked things on DW which I can't comment on here, which I'm not aware that you are. But I assume that anyone who previously granted me access to their DW posts had some reason for doing so, so I wanted to let those people know how the name-change had affected that.
