hi penny, this is ian, you have to watch the gospel according to matthew, personally i think its his best film. which reminds me i have roberto rossellini film waiting to be watched, francesco giullare si dio. anyway what i wanted to tell you is the author of the book i was telling you about, its ilium by dan simmons, it was published in 2003 by gollanz. if you fancy reading something a little different, i highly recommend it.

Oh, hello there! Yes, The Gospel According to Matthew does seem to be the Pasolini film I hear about the most. Mind you, now I've started really exploring Italian cinema, there are loads of really excellent-sounding films I want to watch. Which is good, really, if it'll help me with my language-learning.

And thanks for the book info. I've never actually read anything by Dan Simmons, but friends have spoken highly of him, and the Ilium book you told me about really does sound cool. I might well check it out some time.
