Scotch again

So I've been trying more scotch and yeah, I think this'll be a thing for me. So far I've tried Glenlivet 12 year old (which is my standard now and is, I believe, the best-selling single malt scotch in the US), Glenmorangie 12 year old (pronounced like orangey), Aberlour 10 year old (which I'm actually trying for the first time right now) and

I think Patron would be more impressive still. ;)
And college girls apparently enjoy the Patron Silver (which doesn't have the cask-flavor that the other ones do, a direct quote I heard was "Ohh I can drink Patron all night long." I don't think she was talking about Anejo HEH).

It's generally held up like the end-all be-all of tequilas (even though that is apparently not so).

I guess as in most things, the actual best in class is not what people would recognize (like how Rolex is supposed to be the ultimate watch and most people probably haven't heard of say, Tag Hauer or what have you).

hm, now Patron Platinum must be closer to the best (or at least the price is up there). The two most expensive tequilas that you can buy in Washington are HERRADURA SELECCION SUPREMA for $326 (and which I doubt anybody's ever heard of) and Patron Platinum for $206. Interesting.
