Horatio no longer made daily trips to the Memorial Wall - not since becoming engaged, in fact - but after the arrival of a new Benton Fraser, Horatio seemed to especially need it. Fraser has changed out of his uniform, if only because building a cabin is not the sort of work one does in full dress, and has changed into a pair of light denim jeans he gathered from the clothes box which he has paired with his cotton undershirt to work in. However, he's currently taking a break from all the hard work, walking with Dief in tow as he continues to explore, chatting about the wolf's new found family life ( ... )

Being greeted by Diefenbaker was a comfort. Being greeted by Benton Fraser in an undershirt was something else entirely. Horatio flushed in spite of himself and stood, feeling foolish for having visited the Memorial for someone standing right in front of him.

"Good afternoon," he said after what felt like an eternity, though only seconds had passed. "I...see you have found the clothes box." It was a horrid, dull thing to say, and only served to make Horatio's ears grow redder.

"Ah, yes," Fraser nods, letting his arms drop to his sides and seeming not to notice any embarrassment the other man may have display. "It has been civil thus far, though I've been informed it's not always so kind."

"It has its moments," agreed Horatio, remembering the dress suit it'd given him on his wedding day, though that felt too odd to mention at the moment.

Despite the awkwardness, Horatio hurried to Fraser's side in the hopes that Fraser would not see precisely what he had been staring at. "You're exploring quite far out. I trust Diefenbaker warned you of the dinosaurs?"
