~Twelfth Act~

Nov 04, 2009 19:40

This is me. Balthier. Sky Pirate. Actor in the town's Dramatic Society. Parent of one incredibly obnoxious teenager who makes sure of it that we are aware that he hates us at least three times every day and has an agitating habit of sneaking out of the window at night. And he looks horrified when he sees that Fran and I have stayed up to wait for ( Read more... )

Oh ho, so you're the infamous Balthier? I've heard many great things about you from many great people, my good sir! Glad to hear you're back amongst us! I heard you'd had some family issues, and I hope that all went well and was settled accordingly!

On a final note, greetings! I'm the new kid in town, apparently- Zidane Tribal, at your service!

Well, I am aware that I have infamy, but I wasn't quite aware of how far it had spread... very interesting indeed.

Family issues are sorted. I now have an addition to my family: a "delightful" teenage boy. Sometimes, I could kill him. But I can't tell Fran that. She'll try to kill me, and she has pregnancy hormones as her excuse if I "accidentally" bleed to death...

A pleasure to meet you, Zidane. I trust we shall meet in person soon enough.

I may have exaggerated a small bit. By "many," I meant more along the lines of two. But the two are great nonetheless! The lovely Kairi and the fantastic Luxord, to be exact, so your name hasn't spread too far! Haha! Try again!

An addition? That's always a good thing! More hands to man the decks! And teenage boys are the best! Full of youthful energy and great for getting lots of things done at once! Or maybe that was just me? And wanting to kill someone is just a sign that you love them! Or so I've been told.

Perhaps we will! I'll be in the park this weekend working, if you were headed that way! And the rest of the weekend is filled up spending time with ladies and getting sign-ups for the new athletic highlight in Twilight Town! I was not exaggerating a bit when I mentioned the great things I've heard. Don't dismiss it when I say I look forward to the day we meet! :)

But the fact that you've heard of me is enough to fluff my ego, even if it isn't in such a large measure. Means I'm conversation-worthy material. Always a good thing for us felons~

Oh, he's got energy alright... plenty to drive his mother and I up the proverbial wall and all across the damn ceiling! He's going through that phase wherein he hates his parents. Hates us even more for having only gotten to him recently. My father is to blame for that. I plan to hurt him in the best possible fashion for it...~

I, too, look forward to the day. I'll take a walk this weekend and come and find you.

And you seem to have conveniently forgotten that we have a doctor's appointment at the end of the week to find out which of the options we're going to have this time. Another boy or a little girl to add more chaos to our home!

How about a little wager, hmm~? Something, perhaps mothers intuition tells me I'm having a girl of course I said the same thing about Albanion, but shh, we won't tell him that. If I'm right, hmm, I'm not sure what I want if I'm right, but give me time, I'll think of something! And if I happen to be having another boy... well, I'm sure you can think of something~

Condoms. We start throwing them at him now because need I remind you exactly what we were doing when you were his age...? I have a feeling he's going to have a way with women just like his father always did... and I think that just might be the death of us. But, on the bright side, he starts school on Monday so maybe he won't drive us too crazy between now and then, right?

Good on you for waiting for him to come home. Do you remember how Father and mum used to do the same thing for us? No matter what time we came--or stumbled--home, they sat and waited for us. I'm still surprised we only received a lecture every time, instead of worse.

Please tell me you're going to give him the talk soon, won't you? If mum found out she was going to be a great-grandmother, I think she'd die of a heart attack.

They had auditions already? Shame that I missed them. I'll just sit this one out, I suppose. Congratulations on landing your role, and please tell me someone decent got the part of Amos. I was going to try out for him.

I suppose I'll have to give you a rain check on that. I'm on Gaia, in Midgar, helping out with Miss Aeris' family situation. I honestly don't know when I'll return home, unless you're willing to come over here. I work evenings now, too, so I'll have to see what I can do schedule-wise with my employer.

Balthier! It's good to know that you're alive and well and that being a father hasn't completely killed you yet! With a teenager in the house, I'm not sure how long you're going to last! Maybe we should have that coffee before I'm attending your funeral~

Haven't seen you in class since they started back! Are you finishing the semester online or are you going to come join us normal people~?
