Podfics

Does anyone else enjoy listening to podfics? I've been downloading a few to listen to on my walks and I have to say they make getting some exercise a lot more interesting. It's different than listening to music. You can get lost in the story (as long as you don't trip) and before you know it, you're back home.

The authors and readers of these ( Read more... )

Watch out for some of the more *active* fics....they can be a big distraction and lead to some very uncomfortable public blushing. LOL

You won't trip. Everyone on the planet is more graceful than I am and I'm sure that includes you.

I stand by my original statement. I was leaning against the kitchen sink today, trying to fix my sock, and fell against the refrigerator. There was no apparent reason for this. The floor didn't tilt and the frig didn't jump at me. I am the world's clumsiest person. But it's good of you to try to make me feel better!

I know a few LJ ficcers who've done podcasts, but haven't downloaded more than a couple and *shamed blush* I haven't listened to them yet.

It's just the author reading their fic/story, yes? I'd love it if you could reccommend some. Please and thank you!

I certainly can rec some. Tridenture reads two of my favorites: Jeeves and the Mighty Tarpon and Jeeves and the Uncomfortable Morning. Empress14 reads The Matter of Mr. Wooster's Headaches.

Now that I think of it, I also like Tridenture's Bertie and the Ruse to Save Jeeves. She does quite a few voices in that one, all distinct.

Both of them read more than that and they're all quite good, but these are my particular walking favorites.
